Oxygen Not Included Steam page
This Is a Sandbox Game
Here you can build your own little nation and keep exploring new technologies.
This Is a Game for the Coordination-Challenged
My hands are too slow — I was always criticized for it when playing LOL. Later I played Oxygen Not Included and felt it was fine — I no longer have to fret about how fast my hands move. Another point is that it’s very free: you can build according to your own preferences.
Also, compared with Don’t Starve, I prefer this art style.
This Is a Game That Interrogates Your Soul
Because whenever I play this game, I always think of the following passage:
It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you are not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment. But you humans do not. You move to an area, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease. A cancer of this planet. You are a plague. And we are the cure.
(The Chinese dub of the same passage: 我在试图把你这种生命体作一个归类的时候,启示来了.
This is a passage spoken by Agent Smith in The Matrix. Whenever I play the game I recall these words; the more I play, the deeper they feel. Sharing it here as mutual encouragement.
